Story
Bile Duct Cancer is a cruel, horrible disease which often gets overlooked when it comes to charity fundraising. That's why Paul Hobbs has chosen AMMF as his charity of choice for his Marine Lake Walk 2026 - a half marathon walk around Weston-super-Mare's iconic Marine Lake.
In 2024, Paul's beloved wife Maureen passed away after a brave struggle with bile duct cancer. She urged Paul to do whatever he could to to raise awareness of the condition and to carry on with his charity fundraising despite his grief.
The Marine Lake Walk marks the 32nd year of Paul's Charity fundraising for numerous charities during which time he has raised well over £1 million for good causes. Now in 2026, Paul hopes he can add to that total as well as spreading word about the vital research carried out by AMMF.
