I'm supporting Mission Direct's 2026 Mission Maker Month

I'm excited to be involved in Mission Direct's Mission Maker Month where the charity is looking to raise £30,000 in 30 days!

Mission Direct is a charity I have been involved with for almost 20 years as a trustee and our focus is to work alongside local people to build schools and homes in communities in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

Now the World Cup has kicked off I thought a fun way to fundraise would be to find 30 people willing to pledge at least £2 for every goal scored by the home nations between now and the World Cup Final on 19th July, and Iwill match every penny raised. Penalty shoot-out goals don't count – only goals in normal time and extra time make the scoreboard.

So are there 30 people out there who could join the team and pledge at least £2 per goal? Every time England or Scotland finds the back of the net, you'll know you're helping change lives too.

There are two ways to get involved. If you'd rather not wait for the final whistle on the tournament, you can donate £30 now and I will match every one of those gifts too. Or, if you want to make your giving follow the football, pledge £2 per goal and donate when England and Scotland's final tally is known.

Either way, my match funding means your gift goes twice as far.
