Last year my mum was diagnosed with leukaemia in September she received the most outstanding care at Barts Hospital unfortunately my mum passed away suddenly at the end of November. The staff at this hospital were incredibly kind and supportive not only during the end but all the way through her journey.

I will be running the Southend half marathon in her memory, she was a very keen runner and had completed London herself as well as many other races.
