Paul's fundraiser for Commonwealth War Graves Foundation

Paul Juckett is raising money for Commonwealth War Graves Foundation

Walking the Ypres Salient · 30 June 2026

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation engages and educates people about the global work of the CWGC and the stories of those who died in the World Wars. Through learning, tours and heritage projects, we help new generations explore this history and remember their sacrifice.

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) undertakes work that engages and educates the public, preserves the stories of those who fought for their country at war and supports and promotes the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC).

One Hundred and Ten years after the midway point of WW1, bodies are still being recovered and the CWGC (supported by governments and the CWGF) do amazing work identifying the bodies, contacting living relatives and arranging burials with military honours in one of their many Cemeteries across Belgium, France and around the world.

I plan to visit 122 Cemeteries / Memorials during my eight day walk covering 131 miles, paying respects to nearly 250,000 dead of all nations that fought and died in WW1 and WW2 in the area and the majority of whose graves the CWGC manage and maintain.

War is a dreadful waste of life and it is important that the futility of all conflict is remembered and those who gave their lives are honoured. Please donate to my cause if you can.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
