Paul's fundraiser for Time to Talk Mental Health UK

Paul Kearley is raising money for Time to Talk Mental Health UK

National Three Peaks in Three Days Challenge · 21 August 2026

Time to Talk Mental Health UK is a fully private and confidential Facebook Community. We are open 24/7 and volunteer moderators support our members from 9 am until 10.30pm every day. The community is highly interactive and fully moderated. We provide a safe place for people to talk about their mental health in confidence with others who understand. In addition, we provide events, regular clubs and a library of resources. We also run a wellbeing programme entitled "Positive Minds". This includes a varies of resources and events to help our mental ill health. The community enables consistent support, which is otherwise lacking in the mental health care package. Quotes from our members: "You are all amazing thank you so much for your support". "Thank you for your commitment and making a lovely, safe community for us all". "I am a very private person, this group is the only place I can express myself. I don't say how much I have suffered over the last two years, - there has been so much support from you all." "Thank you for all your support the other day - honestly it means a lot. I have got help coming for me and I appreciate all your support".

Story

Pass the plasters people, this is a personal one……

I’m taking on the Three Peaks Challenge — climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in three days — to raise money for Time To Talk Mental Health UK, who partner with Men Who Talk to break the stigma around men speaking up about their mental health.

This is deeply personal to me. My dad struggled with his mental health for a long time, and at the time, we didn’t understand what he was going through or have the support to help him. The impact on him — and on our family — has stayed with me, and it’s why I care so much about raising awareness, improving access to support, and breaking the silence around men’s mental health.

By climbing these mountains, I’m raising both funds and awareness for a cause that affects so many families.

If you’re able to donate — no matter how small — I’d be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for cheering me on, supporting the cause, and for being the kind of people I’d happily share my blister plasters with at the top of a mountain.

With love (and probably future aching legs)

Paul xx
