Running for Blood Cancer UK – Because Sitting Still Apparently Isn’t My Thing
In 2026 I’ll be taking on both the Edinburgh Marathon and the Great North Run to raise money for Blood Cancer UK — a cause that has become painfully close to home. Blood cancer has touched people I love, and I wanted to channel that into something positive.
Last year, I somehow survived the London Marathon (hamstring drama included), and instead of learning my lesson, I’ve decided to double down. Maybe it’s bravery. Maybe it’s stubbornness. Maybe I just like free bananas at finish lines. Who knows?
What I do know is this: I want to help. Research saves lives, support changes lives, and Blood Cancer UK does incredible work for people affected by these diseases. If my running can raise even a little bit of money to push that work forward, then every cramp, stitch, and emotional breakdown at mile 22 will be worth it.
If you’re able to donate, thank you — genuinely. And if you can’t, please share the page or just cheer me on. Preferably loudly. Preferably with snacks.
Let’s do something amazing together.
