Story
Cancer has touched every family at some point, and in the past four years, it has profoundly impacted ours. Jo’s brother, Phil, was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML), a type of cancer that affects both the blood and bones.
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool has been caring for Phil since his diagnosis and most recently supported him through chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and a stem cell transplant. The exceptional doctors and nurses have provided him with outstanding care, and as a family, we are incredibly grateful for them and this remarkable hospital. Phil still has a long journey ahead with his treatment and to determine if he is cancer-free. To express our gratitude to The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, we plan to abseil together to raise funds for them from the roof of the Cancer Centre.
