Pillar by Pillar: Supporting Search & Rescue

We are Nottinghamshire’s Lowland Rescue team. We are a team of more than 40 professional volunteers on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to deploy at any time, in any weather to find vulnerable missing people. We are proud members of Lowland Rescue, the UKs governing body for Lowland Rescue teams and are deployed by Nottinghamshire Police. Covering all 834 square miles (2.16 billion square metres) of Nottinghamshire, our members are trained to operate across all types of terrain including rural land, towns and cities, forest, and around water.

Story

Pillar by Pillar: Supporting Search & Rescue

Join me on an extraordinary adventure as I take on the Nottinghamshire Trig Bagger Challenge to support the Nottinghamshire Search and Rescue Team (NSART). My goal is to visit all 62 trig pillars across Nottinghamshire by the end of 2025, raising vital funds to ensure NSART can continue their life-saving work.

Event Overview:

Over the course of 2025, I will embark on a journey to bag each of Nottinghamshire's trig pillars. These historic markers offer stunning views and a unique way to explore the beautiful landscapes of our county. As I climb each peak, I aim to raise awareness and funds to support the essential services provided by NSART, who rely solely on fundraising for their operational costs.

How You Can Help:

Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Visit my fundraising page to donate and help me reach my goal.

Spread the Word: Share my journey on social media and with your community to raise awareness about the cause.

Why It Matters:

NSART volunteers work tirelessly, often in difficult conditions, to search for and rescue vulnerable missing people. Your support ensures they have the equipment, training, and resources needed to continue their vital work. By participating in the "Pillar by Pillar" challenge, you are making a tangible impact on the safety and well-being of our community.
