In the year before I hit another apparent significent birthday, Ive decided I need to push myself a little further than I have before...who knows why.

In 2017 I endured an excrutiating climb up Gran Paradiso, the tallest Glacier in Europe, ill fitting footwear made this way more painful than it ever should have been.

2021 saw me pedal the length of the UK (1024 miles to be precise)

..so this year I want to combine both pedal and leg power to cycle and hike over 50000 ft in elevation (almost 2 Everests!).

Bike - 13-16 June - French Alps - 4 Iconic Tour de France Climbs with 4 cycling buddies.

Hike - Sept - Mont Buet, France. 9000 ft elevation in one day sponsored by Hawerchase with the good people at CHX Challenge.

Ive been training hard since mid January for the cycle bit..I now know why the cycling term pain cave exists!

I start hiking training with a hike up mount Snowdon in Early July.

Ive chosen to support Sport in Mind because I know how much participating in sport and exercise has supported my own well being over the years. Ive noted the impact this charity has had in transforming the lives and mental health of children and adults through sport and physical activity.
