Me and my spindly little pins are running further than we’ve ever run before! Half a marathon, or an entire half marathon if your glass is half full.

It would be great to drop in a really compelling story here about how I’ve overcome adversity to get here, but I’d be lying, and also, it’s not about me.

I’m running for Hackney Migrant Centre, who provide essential support to refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who really have overcome adversity to get here. They offer free, expert advice on immigration and welfare and a welcoming space where people can access warm meals, connect with others, and feel part of a supportive community.

The world is an absolute state isn’t it, so do something nice and give generously and I’ll hold up my part of the bargain by running until my knees hurt (not sure how that’s relevant but that’s the deal).
