Cycle from Gateshead to London · 1 April 2025

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

In April next year, I’ll be putting my Mindgym charity days to good use by taking on a 300-mile cycling challenge from Gateshead to London – in just two days!

Thankfully, I won't be alone. King, Laura and Ross will be joining me in this epic journey.

For anyone who’s ever wanted to see me sweat, struggle, and possibly cry (just kidding… maybe), this is your moment! But most importantly, it’s an opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that means a lot to me and so many others.

Why Macmillan?

Most people will have been touched by cancer at some point in their lives, either directly or through loved ones.

Unfortunately, I lost my Dad as a teenager and through this difficult time the MacmIllan nurses were an amazing support for our family.

98% of their funding comes through fundraising activities like this. It is becoming increasingly difficult for them to offer the support that they do and have had to go through several rounds of redundancies over recent years due to cost of living increases.

How You Can Help

If cycling isn’t your thing, don’t worry—you can still be part of the team! By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Macmillan continue their incredible work. Every penny counts and will keep me motivated through the long miles ahead.

• £10 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour.

• £25 could provide emotional support to a family struggling with a diagnosis.

• £50 could help fund vital cancer research.

Follow My Journey

I’ll be sharing training updates, progress stories, and plenty of sweaty selfies as I prepare for this epic ride. Keep an eye out for updates on this page or feel free to reach out with words of encouragement (or advice!).

If you’re able to contribute, thank you so much for your support. Together, we can make a real difference.

Here’s to an incredible ride and an even better cause.
