John O’Groats to Lands End · 24 May 2025

We've been providing tailored and holistic care to those in need in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area for over 40 years. At your home or ours, we provide care without prejudice, regardless of condition, religion, beliefs or age - and always with your best interests at heart.

Story

Over a few pints back in the autumn John announced that he was going to fulfil his ambition to ride from Lands End to John o ‘Groats. Having ridden with him from Bristol to Cornwall a few years ago and had a very tough but great couple of days it seemed like a no brainer to join him! Mike was daft enough to also think it was a great idea and here we are, after a lot, but probably not enough training, doing it for real! In the end we didn’t fancy getting to the top of Scotland with nothing there so decided to head south towards home and the sun instead (also feels like it’s downhill!!)

It will be by far my hardest physical challenge I’ve attempted and I’ve no idea if my body will let me down, but provided it doesn’t then I’m determined to get to Lands End after 1000 miles and over 50,000 ft of elevation! We are fortunate enough to have my brother in law Jez join us for our toughest leg in Scotland and good friend Simon (and hopefully more guys?) joining us on the Bristol to Devon leg. Should be an amazing adventure with lifelong memories 😎

Herschel Infrared are sponsoring us by providing the much needed support van and logistics and we are riding for St Peter’s Hospice. We are personally paying all our own costs so any donations will go 100% to the charity.

St Peter’s Hospice is close to all our hearts as we have all had friends and family who have looked to St Peter’s for end of life support. They rely heavily on donations and without people digging deep could not offer the most amazing service.

Thank you for your support!
