Story
I have chosen to take part in the Etape Caledonia in memory of Nicki Carroll. Nicki was my boss for over 15 years and sadly passed away in the summer after battling cancer for a number of years. Unfortunately I was unable to attend her funeral so I have decided to take on this challenge.
With the blessing of her family who have chosen Queenscourt Hospice to raise funds for, I will be attempting to complete a 55 mile/ 90km bike ride.
The ride takes place in the Highlands of Scotland. While I have never completed a bike ride of this length, I have also not ridden hills and mountains of the size that I will encounter on the route. It is very hard to replicate this on my commute to work and in training rides around Southport and West Lancs.
I would be very grateful if you could take the time to make a donation to this worthy cause. Every donation will help give me the extra encouragement to go on and complete the ride.
Each donation allows Queenscourt to carry on giving care to others like Nicki and her family.
We believe no-one should face a life-limiting illness alone. Our aim is to give adults with far advanced, serious and progressive diseases the best possible Specialist Palliative Care free of charge, whilst supporting their families and carers.
We are therefore grateful for your support, as it will make all the difference.
Thank you for helping to keep Queenscourt in service.
