Story
Dean Farm is an animal sanctuary that rescues animals who would otherwise be sent to slaughter.
I am a long-term supporter of their work and a regular visitor. Please help me provide ongoing help to meet the sanctuary’s costs of housing, feeding and caring for their residents, especially its family if rescued Friesian cows.
I am running an Xmas 10k course around Cardiff Bay on Sunday 18 December (or indoors if the weather doesn’t permit).
Please support me in supporting these beautiful animals and the work of their amazing carers!
Dean Farm Trust is a registered charity and sanctuary that gives a home to life to 200 residents rescued from slaughter, neglect, and exploitation. In 2019, they rescued ten small, frightened calves from the veal industry. Three years on, Buttercup, Clover and the Friesian herd are all grown up, but they have become far larger than expected. They have grown so tall and some of their heads have grown so big that they have outgrown their indoor feed area. The sanctuary now needs to build a safe, new feeding area before they come in for the Winter. This is a huge expense so I am raising funds to help build a new feeding area and to keep these rescues stay safe, farm and fed this winter.
