Story
At the age of 71 I should not perhaps be thinking of running marathons - but I think I’ve got at least one more in me! I was hoping this would be a return to Bethlehem to run the 10th Palestine Marathon - set to take place on 17th April. Sadly that is not to be…. World events have taken over, and so I’ve had to set my sights on a different marathon just up the road! The London Marathon the following weekend, 26 April. I know I’d rather be running in Palestine!
The Palestine Marathon is more than just a race; it is a powerful symbol of resilience and hope, held in the shadow of the illegal Separation Wall. It brings together people of all ages and backgrounds, both locals and international runners, for a joyful celebration of running and solidarity. I am running in London to stand with Palestinians and to raise vital funds for Amos Trust’s ongoing work in Gaza and the West Bank.
Amos Trust is a small creative human rights organisation that has partnered with communities in these regions for over 30 years
