paul senior is raising money for Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team

Cycling the Stelvio both ways, Gavia and Mortirolo. Cutting off Golden Locks · 18 August 2025

Story

on 25th July Martins wife,Emma, suffered a double fracture of her ankle whilst walking Hadrian’s wall near Sycamore Gap. Unable to move her, they had to rely on the outstanding services of the local mountain rescue teams ( North of Tyne and Northumberland) to stabilise her and transfer Emma to the waiting ambulance. Emma underwent surgery at the RVI having 2 plates and 8 screws inserted into her ankle. Now home and at the start of a lengthy rehabilitation Martin has decided to raise money for this charity. On 18th/19th August Martin will cycle The mighty Stelvio pass both ways, the Gavia and the Mortirolo. This is no mean feat consisting of climbing over 22,000 feet in 150 miles. On the conclusion of this epic ride Martin will have his Golden Locks Shorn in Como.A Barnet he has proudly coiffured for 5 years this may be seen as more daunting than the cycling
