Story
I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to run the London Marathon on **26 April 2026**, and to do so while raising money for a truly inspiring children’s charity - Barnardo’s
Taking on a marathon is no small challenge, and over the coming months I’ll be putting in many hard miles each week to prepare. Alongside the training, I’ll also be setting myself additional challenges along the way to help boost fundraising and keep myself accountable. It will be tough at times, but knowing it’s in support of such an important cause will keep me going.
Barnardo’s supports hundreds of thousands of children, young people, parents and carers across the UK. They don’t abandon children because of who they are or what they’ve been through. Instead, they listen, they stand up for them, and they do whatever it takes to protect and support them, because they believe every child has the right to a happy, healthy and safe life.
At a time when so many young people need specialist help for complex challenges such as mental health difficulties, sexual abuse and serious violence, Barnardo’s work has never been more vital.
I would be hugely grateful for any support you’re able to give, no matter how big or small, to help me reach my fundraising target. Every donation will make a real difference - and every mile I run will be for the children and families Barnardo’s works tirelessly to support. 💙
