Story
In April 2024 I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Fight for Sight - a fantastic charity that helps fund ground-breaking research into sight loss.
We have a family history of glaucoma and macular degeneration (referred to as "that macular" when my gran asks if I've found a cure yet...) so supporting research into sight loss is incredibly important to me.
One in five people will have a serious sight condition in their life time and sight loss doesn’t care who you are or where you are from; anyone can be affected.
Without charity support I would not have had the opportunity to complete my own PhD and help develop our knowledge of retinal diseases, so I would like to do my bit and further offer my support for future researchers to have the same opportunities I did!
I'm incredibly grateful for any support, no matter how small!
Thank you.
