SEED sponsors children in the Iringa Rural area of Tanzania to attend local secondary schools and then continue into tertiary education, including sixth form, university and vocational education college/courses. We also support Income Generation Projects back in the villages the students are from.

Story

June 9th 2015 was the day our families lives changed; the sad and sudden passing of Jack. Jack was an incredible son, brother, grandson, friend and genuinely caring guy, who had a passion for international development. Once asked what his dream job was, he answered ‘fix Syria’. With no element of arrogance, just a simple ‘some things just need more effort’.

As a family we were lucky to find SEED, a local charity that supports young people to engage in secondary and tertiary education, inTanzania. Jack was keen to support the development of an education establishment in Africa, and this has helped us achieve his goal. In the past, Lisa and I have been able to raise funds to build a clean water fountain in the students home village. Lisa and I sponsor a young man annually to attend school and this helps his dreams of becoming a doctor, come ever closer. Any support you can offer this small charity, will have a massive impact on the lives of those they sponsor and will be much appreciated.
