Story
I’m raising money for St. Luke’s Hospice in Kenton in loving memory of my father, who sadly passed away in 2017 after suffering with bowel cancer. My dad was a true family man — a devoted father of four, a loving husband, a loyal friend to many, and someone who would always be there to help whenever he was needed. Those qualities have stayed with me and continue to shape who I am today, especially the importance of giving back and supporting others in times of need. Before his passing, St. Luke’s was the last place he laid his head, and the care and compassion they showed to my dad and our whole family was incredible. They created a safe, comfortable environment where he truly felt at home. St. Luke’s supports people from all walks of life, and with only around 40% of their funding coming from the NHS and government, the rest relies on fundraising and kindness — something we want to help continue for future generations, so that support is always there when it’s needed most. To raise funds, I’ve teamed up with Mark from Slider Cuts in Hackney, a well-known celebrity barber, who will be cutting my hair live on Instagram on Thursday 24th February. I’ve been growing my hair for nearly 10 years and finally feel I’ve found a real purpose to cut it off — for charity and in honour of my dad. On top of that, in April, myself and my friend Nicari will also be taking part in a skydive to raise even more money. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world and would be going towards an incredible cause.
