Story
This March, we’re taking part in The Great Tommy Sleep Out.
Every night, thousands of veterans right here in the UK face the harsh reality of sleeping rough. This isn't just a statistic; these are individuals who served our country and now find themselves without a roof over their heads. Together, we can change that.
The Challenge
A group of Rotherham Councillors have come together to stand in solidarity with our service community. We’ll be swapping the comfort of our beds for the cold ground, sleeping out at Thrybergh Country Park between March 27th and March 29th.
There will be no frills and no luxury—just a sleeping bag, the night air, and a commitment to the cause.
Why It Matters
Every pound you donate goes directly to Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE). Your support helps provide:
🏠 Safe Homes: Moving veterans off the streets and into stable housing.
🧠 Mental Health Support: Specialized care for those dealing with the invisible wounds of service.
💼 Employment Opportunities: Helping veterans transition their skills into civilian careers.
🤝 Community: Building a network where veterans can support one another.
"This isn’t just a fundraiser — it’s a statement: we don’t leave our veterans behind."
