Story
From Exeter to a 300-Ft jump— All on Foot & all unsupported!
On 4th October, I’ll be stepping off a platform 300 feet in the air at Tatton Park for a bungee jump… but getting there is where the real challenge lies.
I’m starting my journey at the FORCE Cancer Charity Centre in Exeter, 8.30am on Wednesday 24th September and walking all the way to Tatton Park near Manchester — breaking the route into bite-sized chunks:
Exeter --> 40 Commando Royal Marines, Taunton / 31.9 miles / Day 1
40 Commando Royal Marines --> Cheddar Gorge 31.9 miles / Day 2
Cheddar Gorge --> Almondsbury Interchange Hotel / 24.8 miles / Day 3
Almondsbury Interchange Hotel --> Monmouth /23.5 miles / Day 4
Monmouth --> Hereford /18.0 miles / Day 5
Hereford --> Ludlow / 23.5 miles / Day 6
Ludlow --> Shrewsbury / 27.2 miles / Day 7
Shrewsbury --> Whitchurch / 18.7 miles / Day 8
Whitchurch --> Crewe /16.0 miles / Day 9
Crewe --> Tatton Park / 17.0 miles / Day 10
That’s nearly 233 miles on foot!
But here’s the twist:
I’ll be going completely unsupported.
No food.
No shelter.
No extra clothing for the journey.
I’ll be relying 100% on the kindness of strangers to get me through — meals, a dry place to sleep, maybe even joining me for part of the walk. This isn’t just about the miles; it’s about proving that resilience, trust, and community can carry us further than we think.
I’m doing this to raise funds for FORCE Cancer Charity, who do incredible work supporting people affected by cancer. Every step, every blister, every shiver under the stars is for them — and for the people they help every single day.
You can be part of this journey.
Whether you donate, walk alongside me, offer a place to rest, or simply share my story, you’re helping make each mile matter.
