Pontesbury Potter 2026 · 21 March 2026 ·

Support our incredible walkers as they lace up their boots for the 30th anniversary of The Pontesbury Potter - taking on 13 miles of mud and mighty climbs through stunning hills and countryside all while raising vital funds for our care.

Story

I have seen with my own eyes the care, compassion and love that the staff at Severn Hospice give to their patients and their families and friends. It was amazing, respectful, loving and professional.

I lost my best friend, a brother from another mother, Steve Moore, after a short but very aggressive battle with cancer, the final part of his battle was at Severn Hospice. I was lucky enough to spend his last few hours with him and his family, surrounded by the love of the Severn Hospice team.

Steve was a very fit guy, a keen walker and runner, unfortunately, I am not. I am now unfit, older and fatter than I used to be. This will be a massive challenge for me, but I will complete it to raise money for this amazing charity and to honour the memory of the friend I miss dearly.

Please help me to raise some much needed money to allow Severn Hospice to carry on their wonderful work.

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and support free of charge to families across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and North Powys who are living with an incurable illness.

Severn Hospice has to raise £2 for every £3 we spend and your sponsorship today will help us continue to care.

It’s thanks to the generosity of our community that Severn Hospice has been able to provide care and support to local families for the past 35 years—and we couldn't do it without you.
