Parachute dive · 14 September 2025

Would you like to feel an adrenaline rush like no other? Why not spread your wings and ‘Jump for St John’s!’ YOU could experience the thrill of free falling from 11,000ft to support your local hospice in an sponsored tandem skydive.

Story

St John’s Hospice has been part of the local community for over 38 years and provides vital service to patients and families all over our community. Our aim is to ensure that on the journey towards the end of life, we provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Our care will always be free to those who need it, but it isn’t cost free. It costs nearly £400 per hour to run the hospice with only around a third of this amount provided by local NHS funding. The remaining two thirds must be raised through events, community donations, grants and legacies.
