Hello everyone! We're taking part in this 5km charity Lantern Walk as a few years ago the wonderful team at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital saved our grandson after he suffered life threatening brain injuries as a baby.

Thankfully the surgery team managed to perform several operations to save his life and the Paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) nursing team ensured he recovered well over the weeks that followed.

Due to their amazing care and skill it means our wonderful grandson, now 6yrs old, is able to join us on this Lantern Walk. Together we're looking forward to helping raise much needed funds for the hospital so they can continue providing help to other poorly children.
