We support continuing excellence in treatment, care and research.

Story

Paula was cared for by the CTCCU team for 114 days including 102 days on ECMO life support. Paula was admitted to Wythenshawe hospital on January 7th 2024 after suffering from critical lung failure and oesophageal rupture. She fought incredibly hard trying to get better over 4 months, never giving up, always smiling, and she was an inspiration to us all.

We are extremely grateful for all the care and kindness shown to her by the incredible CTCCU nurses (especially the ECMO team ❤️), physiotherapists and all the medical staff.

We want to make a real difference to the people we treat – young and old – by making sure that they continue to receive the very best treatment in the very best facilities.
