The Acorn Crew fundraiser for ANDYSMANCLUB

Paula Hayes is raising money for ANDYSMANCLUB
In memory of Andrew Brackenbury

Hike The Ridgeway, 87 miles along "Britain's oldest road," running from Avebury, Wiltshire, to Ivinghoe Beacon, Buckinghamshire. · 19 June 2026

ANDYSMANCLUB facilitates groups where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their issues in a non judgmental environment through shared experiences. Groups run nationwide every Monday 7pm except bank holidays and are completely volunteer-led with no charge to any man.

Story

After the incredible success of our walk along Hadrian’s Wall last June, where we proudly raised an amazing £3,720 for #ANDYSMANCLUB, the Acorn Crew are lacing up their walking boots once again — this time taking on the 87 miles of the Ridgeway.

These self funded walks are about far more than the miles we cover. They are a celebration of friendship, compassion, and support for our dear friend Paddy, who tragically lost his son to suicide in December 2024.

We will be walking in loving memory of Andrew, side by side with Paddy and his family, carrying them in our hearts with every step we take.

Paddy's words:

Just before Christmas, we lost our beautiful son, Andrew, to suicide. There are no words to describe the pain of losing someone you love so suddenly and so young. We miss him every day — his laugh, his kindness, his energy, and the light he brought to our lives.

We are raising money for Andy’s Man Club, a charity that is doing incredible work to support men’s mental health and prevent suicide. They provide a safe space for men to talk, listen, and support each other without judgement. It's the kind of help we wish more people knew about, and that we believe could make a real difference.

This fundraiser is not just about raising money — it's about raising awareness. If even one person sees this and feels encouraged to open up, to talk, or to ask for help, then it means the world.

Please give what you can. Every donation, no matter how small, goes toward helping men who are struggling. And if you can’t donate, please share this and help spread the word.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s make sure no one feels like they have to go through it alone.
