Climbing Kilimanjaro for Crisis

Kilimanjaro challenge · 26 October 2024
In October this year, I'm attempting the monumental task of hiking the 5985 metres to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. As CEO of HomeOwners Alliance, where we help people buy, sell and manage their home, we know how critical having a home is for your emotional, physical, mental and financial well-being. We all need a decent home to be healthy and to thrive. Bud sadly we know there are still far too many people without a permanent place to call home.
Crisis work side by side with thousands of people each year as they find ways out of homelessness. They provide practical support to help people access benefits, healthcare services, employment opportunities, and more. Your donation can literally rebuild a life. With just £10 you could help Crisis with someone’s travel costs, making attending a flat viewing or job interview possible, and helping them to start their journey out of homelessness, £64 could help fund one of our support workers to support someone trapped in temporary accommodation look for affordable and settled housing and £100 could buy a household starter kit, filled with essentials someone might not be able to afford, to help them settle into their new home.
The photo is of me climbing Mount Toubkai in Morocco a couple of years ago. I found it tough and said never again. But here I am and am training hard. Last time I wore a Norweigan hat from my in-laws so next time I will track down a Canadian 'toque'
Thank you for your support!
