Story
On September 5, 2024, I will be embarking on an incredible journey to Tanzania with one goal in mind: to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro. This personal trek is not only a test of my physical and mental strength but also an opportunity to prove that anything is possible.
While this challenge is primarily for myself, it’s always good to give back, so I've decided to raise funds for a great cause and somewhere that I spent many days during my childhood - Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Knowing that I am helping raise money for this charity is great motivation.
I know this climb won't be easy. There will be challenges along the way, both physically and mentally but I am determined to give it my all.

The decision to take on this challenge came after a tough few years - loss, self-discovery, and the realisation that I needed something meaningful to focus on. Walking became my solace during Covid and continued beyond that - a way to clear my head, reflect on life, and find inner strength. It seemed only fitting that my challenge would involve walking in some way.
After extensive research and giving myself ample preparation time, in Jan 2023, I finally took the plunge and booked this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Now, over 18 months since making that commitment, the countdown has really begun.......
