The Bosphorus/Istanbul Cross Continent Race is happening on August 24th this year. It's a 6.5k race from the Asian side of the straight to the European side. This year there are 3,000 participants, I have been lucky enough to get in again this year.

I am raising money for Ealing and Acton Support Enterprise charity again this year. They are a community-based charity enabling asylum seekers and refugees living in the borough of Ealing to thrive in the UK. At a weekly drop-in run by volunteers, they support basic needs, offer English classes and activities, a communal home-cooked lunch and link people to services & information.

I cannot lie I am definitely getting nervous! This will be my forth year. I have managed to finish the race each year, last year was really difficult but I made it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed to succeed again this year. But with support going to this great charity I know I will be determined to get to the end of the swim!
