About the Race

Every day, housing professionals work to make homes safer, fairer and more affordable. But we all know there’s still so much more to do — and too many people are still without a home. This run is our way of saying: we care, and we’re taking action.

Why I'm doing this

I've always enjoyed staying active through sport, but this will be my first experience of long-distance running. When the opportunity came up to take part, I decided to challenge myself while supporting a cause that makes a real difference.

I'm proud to be running for an organisation that helps provide one of the most basic human needs: a safe place to call home. Working in housing, I see the importance of having a safe home every day and the positive impact it has on people's lives, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

This run is an opportunity to support that important work and help make a difference to those who need it most.

Sobre la carrera

Cada día, los profesionales del sector de la vivienda social trabajan para que haigan hogares más seguros, justos y asequibles. Pero todos sabemos que aún queda mucho por hacer y que demasiadas personas siguen sin tener un hogar. Esta carrera es nuestra forma de decir: nos importa y estamos actuando para marcar una diferencia.

¿Por qué lo estoy haciendo?

Siempre me ha gustado mantenerme activa a través del deporte, pero esta será mi primera experiencia en una carrera de larga distancia. Cuando surgió la oportunidad de participar, decidí aceptar el reto y, al mismo tiempo, apoyar una causa que genera un impacto real.

Me siento orgullosa de correr en representación de una organización que ayuda a garantizar una de las necesidades humanas más básicas: tener un hogar seguro. Trabajando en el sector de la vivienda social, veo cada día la importancia de contar con un hogar seguro y el impacto positivo que esto tiene en la vida, el bienestar y el sentido de pertenencia de las personas.

Esta carrera es una oportunidad para apoyar ese importante labor y contribuir a marcar una diferencia para quienes más lo necesitan.
