Our amazing team of runners are fundraising at the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 to support our world-class research and life-changing support. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer providing support for today and hope for the future.

Story

Hi, my name is Pauline Raev Loresca. On April 9th, 2024, I was diagnosed with Grade 3 HER2 3+ Ductal Carcinoma (an aggressive form of breast cancer) at the age of 29. Since then, life has changed in ways I never imagined. I’ve been through Neoadjuvant Therapy, endured 3 cycles of EC and 4 cycles of Docetaxel chemotherapy, had a mammoplasty and lymph node removal surgery in September 2024, and completed 10 cycles of Radiotherapy in November 2024. Right now, I’m continuing the fight with 14 cycles of TDM1 (Kadcyla) targeted chemotherapy, alongside ongoing hormonal treatment.

It’s been a lot. Physically, emotionally, mentally. This journey has tested every part of me. But here I am. Still standing. Still moving. Still fighting.

And now, I’m taking on something new: running a half marathon to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. Because this battle isn’t just mine, it’s one that so many face, often in silence. I want to run for every person who’s just been diagnosed, for every survivor, for every family walking this road. I want to show that even in the darkest times, we can choose to move forward with hope, with strength, and with purpose.

This run is more than a race. It’s a celebration of resilience, a shout of defiance against fear, and a call to support research, early detection, and better treatments.

Please support me in this journey, whether through donations, sharing my story, or simply cheering from the sidelines. Together, we can make a difference. No amount is too small. Every pound helps spread awareness, save lives, and uplift those going through the toughest moments of their lives. This run is my way of honouring them and doing something that can make a difference.

Thank you for taking the time. Your kindness and support mean more than words can say.

With gratitude,

Pauline Loresca
