Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We will be competing in the Wharfedale Three Peak Challenge event on 29th June 2024, organized annually by the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association. It is an 18 mile circular route starting from Kettlewell via Birks Fell (610m), Buckden Pike (702m) and Great Whernside (704m) and is expected to be a 10 hour walk.
We will be raising money for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s appeal to help create a 'Wilder Ingleborough'.
Thanks to its unique geology criss-crossed by drystone walls, Ingleborough and its foothills are one of the most inspiring icons of our regional heritage. The area is home to some of the best limestone pavements in the country, brightly coloured patches of grassland wildflowers, and also to threatened species such as the curlew and the globeflower.
The Wild Ingleborough Reserve has the potential to support hundreds of wildlife species and be a real beacon for nature’s recovery in the Yorkshire Dales. So please donate and help us protect Ingleborough's magnificent wild landscape for future generations today.
Thank you.
