One of 4 animal rescue charities I'm running the NY Marathon 2024 to try and raise funds for is Little Wanderers NYC. They do a great deal of work saving kittens and cats around New York - it is an especially challenging time for them with a surge of cases due to a number of reasons, including rising living costs making some others give up their kittens/cats involuntarily as they are unable to afford the costs of having a pet.

As shelters are filled to capacity, they also do work to promote awareness and training on TNR (trap-neuter-return) which can help to control the population growth of stray cats to try and target the issue at the source. If you follow some of their work on Instagram, you will see the frequent cases they have to deal with and why support means a lot to them. As kittens/cats hold a special place for me, having grown up with them, and now having one ourselves, I would like to support other kittens/cats who are without a loving home that can help to nurture and grow them.
