It took me a while to make this public, but I feel things like this need to be discussed openly to help fight shame, stigma and silence surrounding mental health and suicide.

Some of you may be aware that I lost my sister to suicide a year and half ago. She was struggling with mental health issues most of her life. If only she could see the heartache she left behind, three wonderful kids who miss her every day, her mum who wonders what she could have done differently and two sisters who still struggle to understand why it all happened.

This fundraiser is also in memory of two friends who are no longer with us and took their own life.

Helping SOS charity by sponsoring them could potentially save lives. They have a very hands on approach by helping people.

So in a positive response to doing something about this to help others, I will be starting my training for Ultra X Spring Trail Series 25km run with 572m elevation level. With my own health issues battling with an autoimmune disease, these challenges are getting more and more difficult, however I am motivated to get behind this really worthy cause.
