Story
We are excited to announce that next month will be Private Bank CEUS’ inaugural “Get Active Challenge”. This will be a team sporting challenge spanning the entire CEUS region, with the aim to run, walk, swim and cycle the furthest distance possible from 1st March – 31st March, all to raise money for a range of charities across our locations.
Each team will be made up of 5 people across all abilities and ages (minimum of 2 females per team) who will work together to cover as much distance as possible through the month of March via running, walking, swimming and cycling. Each team will track their progress throughout the month using tracking apps such as Strava, Apple Health, Garmin etc. and submit their results weekly to their location representatives. Each sport will be assigned a score per km, with swimming assigned the most and cycling assigned the least.
The team that accumulates the most points by the end of March will be crowned the Get Active Challenge Champions!
This will be a fantastic month celebrating cross-team collaboration, encouraging people to get active as well as inspiring a good dose of competitiveness whilst raising money for some fantastic causes across our CEUS region. We really hope that you all engage with this opportunity and we are excited to see what our region can do from a sporting and charitable perspective!
In the UK we will be raising money for our DB UK Charity Dementia UK:
One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime. That’s half of Deutsche Bank employees. Half your family. Half your friends.
Every penny raised through the partnership will help drive Dementia UK’s mission of leading and delivering high quality, expert and accessible dementia care through its specialist Admiral Nurses. Our partnership will also spread the word about the work of Admiral Nurses so more families know how to access their life-changing support, now and in the future.
Through employee fundraising and skill-sharing across the bank, our partnership will transform dementia care. Our two-year partnership has the potential to fund 30 new Admiral Nurses to support an additional 3,000 families affected by dementia.
