Greenville- Pitt County Backpack Buddies Fund Drive

Greenville- Pitt County Leadership Institute "Group C"/Pitt County Backpack Buddies
The Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute strives to provide Greenville-Pitt County with an enduring source of diverse leaders who are prepared and committed to serving the community. During the eight-month program, participants get an in-depth view of community issues, develop leadership skills necessary to assume leadership roles, and are exposed to community involvement opportunities.
Through hands-on experience, participants fully explore topics such as: education, government and law, arts and culture, economic development, health care, business and industry, and media. The program culminates with a graduation ceremony and the unveiling of the class project.
Our group is aware of the growing need to address food insecurity, particularly among children during the summer months. We are committed to assist the Backpack Buddies program in receiving the support it needs to aid children in Pitt County.
Your support will help Stop Summer Hunger.
• The funds allow the Food Bank to spread awareness of the increased need during the summer. It also enables us to create a matching fund which encourages more individuals to give their support.
• Increased awareness allows us to inform and raise more funds and food from the community, which in turns means we can keep the Food Bank and our partner agencies stocked for the summer.
• Creates new advocates for the Food Bank and our work who can use their voices to support our work.
• Families and children will not have to worry about where their meals will be coming from this summer!
