I was diagnosed on the 19th of November 2024 with blood cancer, specifically ALL leukaemia. I never thought I'd be the unlucky person to be diagnosed with the dreaded C but here I am battling it every day.

Since being diagnosed I've witnessed the amazing doctors and nurses that are working at The Christie Hospital first hand. I have had and I'm still having an incredible amount of support and help through my treatment there, thats why I have chosen this charity. It is so close to my heart, and I think its amazing how much hope they don't just give me, but the other patients and families having to go through something similar and I would like to give something back.

The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe and the first UK centre to be accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre and they treat more than 60,000 patients a year. The Christie Charity raises money for a wide range of projects and initiatives within the hospital helping people with all kinds of cancers. I know my hair is falling out, It has been since the beginning of my treatment and will continue too. Which is why I have decided to take control of something uncontrollable and can hopefully create some good out of a bad situation by shaving it off for charity.
