Peak Pharmacy Skydive Team is raising money for Bowel Cancer UK

Team: Joe, Andrea, Sarah, Nicola, Jade, Ria & Tracey's Team Skydive for Bowel Cancer UK

Skydive

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

Recently, someone very special to us—our colleague and friend, Shirley Williams —received the devastating news of a bowel cancer diagnosis. It's a moment that has shaken all of us, but also united us in our determination to support her through this incredibly tough time.

To show our love, solidarity, and support, a brave group of us—Joe Cattee, Andrea Street, Sarah Jones, Nicola Cowell, Jade Bromley, Ria Smith and Tracey Cooper —are taking a leap of faith. Quite literally. We're doing a skydive to raise funds and awareness for bowel cancer, and more importantly, to stand beside our colleague in the most uplifting way we know how.

Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers, but with early detection and continued research, lives can be saved.

We’re nervous. We’re excited. But most of all, we’re committed. If you can, please consider donating to this important cause. Your generosity could help save lives.

A bit about Shirley:

Shirley has been happily married for six years and is a proud mum to two children, two step-children, and a doting grandma — affectionately known as "Nanny" to her grandchild.

Shirley is the warehouse manager and has been a valued member of the Peak Pharmacy team for 23 years.

Outside of work, she enjoys scenic walks in the Peak District with friends and spending time with her beloved dogs, Hovis and Olive.

Recently, Shirley was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 46 — a challenge she’s facing with incredible strength and the unwavering support of her family and colleagues.

To show their love and raise vital funds and awareness for bowel cancer, Shirley’s colleagues are bravely taking on a charity skydive. While Shirley admits she’s not a fan of heights, she’ll be cheering them on every step (and jump!) of the way.
