Following my father's death in January 2025 from an unexpected Stroke, I have been looking for an opportunity to raise money in a bid to support Stroke survival and support.

As a member of Margate Round Table, we have always found opportunities to do challenges to both test ourselves and raise money for great causes. This is my chance to represent a charity I want to help!

Rax wanted a big challenge so we have gone big, 100kms Peak District Ultra Marathon Challenge, to represent the 100th year of RTBI. This will be a remarkable endurance walk taking place on 4 July 2026 through the Peak District National Park with over 2,000m of elevation on top of the walk itself.

All in aid of Different Strokes, a charity committed to helping younger stroke survivors rebuild their lives.

Every step taken and every pound raised brings us closer to providing essential peer support, practical advice for life after stroke, rehabilitation resources, and a lifeline for younger adults navigating recovery. Stroke can affect anyone at any age — this challenge is about more than just distance; it’s about visibility and hope.
