By Order of the Peaky Blunders…We’re Going Up Some Big Hills
This June, two vaguely responsible adults – Nigel Jones and Wilf Moralee – are swapping sofas for summits and taking on the 10in10 in the Lake District: 10 peaks in 10 hours.
We are Team Peaky Blunders: same level of organisation as the Peaky Blinders, but with worse knees, less glamour, and significantly more Lycra. Expect fewer razor blades in caps, more plasters on feet.
Why are we doing it? Because MS is a real-life villain. It doesn’t play fair and it doesn’t give people a choice. People like one of Nigel’s closest friends, Gary, a fabulous sportsman for whom MS has changed the rules. He’s retained the grit and heart that made him successful and we’re helping the fight because battles like this shouldn’t be fought alone. The money we raise goes towards stopping MS in its tracks – funding research, support, and better treatments for those living with it right now.
The route is tough: lung-busting climbs, wobbly descents and the kind of “false summit” that breaks your heart and your quads at the same time. There will be moments when we question our life choices and our fitness levels.
But here’s the deal:
• Every climb = a step closer to stopping MS.
• Every blister = proof we’re putting the work in.
• Every donation = you joining our gang (honorary Peaky Blunder).
If you can spare a few quid, we’d really appreciate your support. Think of it as buying us a virtual pint at the after-party…only this pint helps fund vital MS research.
By order of the Peaky Blunders: donate, share, and help us give MS a proper kicking.
Thank you
Nigel & Wilf – Team Peaky Blunders
