National 3 Peaks Challenge, 23 September 2023
We provide a helpline, and webchat service to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

A group of 8 of us will be completing the national 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours on the 23rd of September 2023 to raise money for the charity CALM.

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.

From advice on the website, through to free, confidential chats with helpline staff, online or on the phone, CALM is there for whoever needs it, every day. No matter what.

£8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.

Mental health is such a crucial part to a healthy life, and too many people suffer in silence.

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
