Story
I'm almost 60 and definitely not in “peak” physical condition — but I'm taking on a 50km walk through the Peak District for a cause that is deeply important to me: Mind, the mental health charity.
Mental health affects so many families, often quietly and behind closed doors. I've seen first-hand how vital the right support, understanding and early help can be, and how life-changing it is when it's there — or devastating when it's not. That's why this walk matters so much to me. This challenge will push me well beyond my comfort zone.
— but some causes are worth the discomfort, the blisters, and the self-doubt.
Mind provides crucial support, advice and advocacy for people facing mental health challenges, and for those who love them. If my steps can help even a little, then every mile is worth it.
My goal is to raise £1,000, and any donation — big or small - will mean the world to me. Thank you for supporting this walk, this cause, and the many people who rely on Mind every day.
