In memory of Laura Milner-Smith

Climbing the three highest uk peaks & cycling 788km between · 20 June 2025

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

My brother and I are going to attempt to climb the 3 highest peaks in the UK and cycle between each one. A total of 37km hiking, 10,052ft in elevation and over 788km of cycling in just 6 days. That is an average 131km cycle and a 6km mountain trek every day for 6 days.

We will be joined by our dad and little sister who will be our support vehicle as well as climbing the 3 peaks with us.

On 26 September 2004 we lost our sister to cancer. She was and still is the greatest inspiration to us. This challenge will be hard, but we will be driven through with the memory of her smile and incredible energy.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care services and community support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire. It is an incredible charity very close to our hearts and we would appreciate any donations to support them as they care for others as they did for Laura and our family.
