Story
I’m raising money because suicide and mental health struggles affect far too many people, often quietly and without support. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful and how necessary early conversations, connection, and access to help can be.
To raise funds and awareness, I’m taking on a solo ride around Australia called Pedal With Purpose. With a goal of 80 days, I’ll be cycling solo approximately 14,200 kilometres, through coastal roads, regional towns, and remote parts of the country. I am doing this with only one year of training, which is intentional, to inspire people that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. This journey is both a physical and mental challenge, chosen intentionally to reflect the reality many people face when they struggle; continuing forward, often in silence.
Riding solo matters to me. It represents the isolation that can come with mental health challenges, while also showing that persistence, connection, and support are possible. Every kilometre is a reminder that help matters, conversations matter, and lives are worth protecting.
All funds raised through this journey go directly to the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP), supporting their global work in suicide prevention, education, and advocacy. My hope is that this ride not only raises funds, but helps open conversations, reduce stigma, and remind people they are not alone.
