Story
On the 10th of October 2025, Tyler and his dad Mike are taking on the challenge of a 200-mile bike ride from Wales to England over several days to raise funds for two incredible causes that have changed our lives: Headlines UK and the Craniofacial Department at Alder Hey Hospital.
When Tyler was born, he was diagnosed with craniosynostosis, a condition that caused his skull to fuse too early, affecting his brain development and the shape of his head. Thanks to the brilliant team at Alder Hey Hospital, Tyler underwent reconstructive skull surgery, and the support he received from Headlines UK was invaluable during his recovery.
Now, at 16 years old, Tyler is thriving. He’s not only living a full, healthy life but also taking on a challenge that symbolizes his journey—a journey made possible by the care and expertise of these two organizations.
The ride is a personal milestone for both of them—father and son, riding together for a cause that’s close to their hearts. Their goal is to raise £1,000 - £2,000 so that other children and families can receive the same life-changing care and support that Tyler did.
Every donation will help:
Fund specialist surgeries for children with craniofacial conditions
Support research and treatment improvements in craniofacial care
Provide vital support services for families navigating these challenges.
This ride is more than just miles- it's a journey of hope, resilience and gratitude. Every turn of the wheel is for the children and families who walk this path after us.
Every hill climbed is a tribute to the surgeons, nurses and charities that support Cranio warriors.
Every breath taken is a reminder that awareness brings understanding and understanding brings change.
Please help us make this ride count. Your support means everything to us, and every pound donated will make a real difference in the lives of children facing craniofacial conditions.
