Kit and I are setting off on July 23rd, in attempt to cycle the length of Europe, from Norway to Greece. The route is approximately 11,000 kilometres and will take around 3 months to complete (if all goes to plan)!

Our chosen charity is Macmillan Cancer Support. In January, my dad, Paul, was diagnosed with Stage 3 advanced bowel cancer. Since his diagnosis, he has undergone two major surgeries, leaving him with an ileostomy bag and a completely different lifestyle. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which will continue for the next 6 months. Unfortunately, not even the doctors have any answers, and coming to terms with an unknown future has been one of the hardest things to face.

Macmillan have been there from the very start, supporting me, my family, and my dad throughout. Whether it's simply being on the end of the phone for a chat, or providing real, practical guidance about the diagnosis and what it means - they have been an invaluable source of comfort and clarity during an incredibly difficult time.

This cycle is going to be tough, but it's nothing compared to what people living with cancer, and the families who love them, face every single day. If we can raise money that helps Macmillan continue to be there for families like mine, every kilometre will be worth it.
