Peel Running Group are entering a team of 10 runners for The Children’s Centre Race the Sun 2024 it’s a relay race like no other.

The task is simple - starting in Peel, at sunrise (05:09), our team must complete a lap of the dramatic 100 mile island coastal footpath before the sun sets (21:22). The course follows the 'Raad ny Foillan' our stunning coastal footpath circumventing our island with beautiful scenery, a range of terrains significant height gain.

We’ve pledged to help raise vital funds for the islands leading children’s charity and is the only organisation of its kind on the Isle of Man. Every single penny will go to support its goal of turning difficult life experiences into brighter futures for children, teens & families on the Isle of Man.

This could be bullying and finding school hard, to being impacted by developmental disability, poverty, addiction, criminality or domestic abuse. Their services directly address behavioural, learning or emotional wellbeing needs, which are often the result of these experiences. They help bridge the gap in statutory provision before the point of crisis.
