Did you know that nearly 700,000 people die by suicide each year, and that it’s one of the leading causes of death among 15-30 year-olds? What’s just as upsetting as this statistic is that suicide is preventable.

On 1st April 2025, I will be trekking through Patagonia as part of a group of 100 McKinsey colleagues to raise money for Samaritans, a charity dedicated to helping individuals struggling to cope or considering suicide.

With no access to a shower, 'proper' toilet or the outside world, I will be carrying all of my personal equipment and camping gear for 5 days and will be roughing it in the wild terrain of Patagonia to raise money for Samaritans, an amazing UK based charity that supports people who are struggling to cope and are thinking about taking their own life.
