The women and girls in Masiphumelele experience terrible conditions when on their periods. They experience poor sanitation, lack of privacy and appalling period poverty. So ashamed are the girls, they stay home rather than go to school, missing out on vital education, creating makeshift towels out of items not fit for purpose. When I heard this, it put a few things into perspective. If I could raise some money to provide them with proper sanitary products, hopefully this might help. While I am a competent 5k runner, 13.1 miles is a daunting prospect. But it it nothing compared to the women of Masiphumelele. Please give whatever you can to help. Literally every penny matters.
